Women's-Only Jiu-Jitsu in Takoma Park
A real women's program — women-only no-gi and gi sessions every week — women training with women, and complete beginners welcome from day one. Your first class is free.
Built for women, from the very first class

Women's-Only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Every women's session is women-only from warm-up to the last round — technique, partner drilling, and live practice at a pace you control. Complete beginners train alongside experienced students from their first class, coaches scale everything to your level, and nobody is there to prove anything at your expense. That's the difference between a "women's night" and a real women's program.
Whatever brought you here, you'll be taken seriously
Training that isn't a treadmill
Strength, mobility, and conditioning built through movement you actually learn — every class teaches a skill while it trains your body.

Self-defense at WDC BJJ is an outcome of real jiu-jitsu: leverage-based escapes, control from bad positions, and the calm to use them under pressure.
How Self-Defense Works Here →Friends & competition
Women who train together, laugh together, and show up for each other — and, for those who want it, a path to the competition team.

Everything you're wondering
It's built for you. Most women here started with zero experience. First classes focus on fundamentals, coaches scale everything to your level, and your training partners were all beginners once.
Whichever session fits your schedule — Monday 6:00 PM (no-gi), Wednesday 6:00 PM (gi), or Saturday 11:00 AM (gi). You'll train in both over time, and your coaches will explain the difference.
No — it's complete Brazilian jiu-jitsu: technique, partner drilling, live training, and belt progression in a women's-only environment. Self-defense ability is one of the real outcomes of that training, not a separate course we sell.
Never. Competition is an option for those who want it. Most of our students train for fitness, skill, confidence, and community.
Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle for your first class — we provide the gi for your trial, and enrollment includes a free uniform. Arrive 15 minutes early and check in at the door.
Programs vary by how often you train, and we don't publish prices online. Come try a free class, and we'll walk you through the option that fits — with no contracts or long-term commitment.
